Your Relationship With God Requires Maintenance!

Relationships. At some point in time, we have imagined having the perfect dream guy or the perfect dream girl. We plan out how our lives will be with that significant other. When we begin to move into a serious relationship, engagement, or marriage with the one we love, we can't wait to spread the news. We always have to let any and everyone know who our significant other is and how we are in love and how we plan to get married, have kids, etc. But what about our relationship with God? We give our lives to Christ and just leave it there. I am aware that even though we may stumble or sometimes fall in the beginning of being born again, but why aren't we as eager to share this new found love with others? When we give our lives to Christ, it's literally the best thing in the world, but often times we find ourselves being either very quiet about it or often times fearful of what others may think. Get delivered from people. You don't have a problem with saying who you're with or who you like so why is it so hard to talk about the Lord and all that He does and is still doing through you and for you? He deserves our full and undivided attention, when we praise Him and show Him how much we love and appreciate Him, He takes joy in that. He is worthy to be praised!

Your relationship with God requires maintenance!

When we begin to grow in the Lord and seek His face on the daily basis, we are showering our relationship with Him with love and care. When we pray in our heavenly language and take time to study and learn the word of God, we are allowing our relationship with Him to flourish. The relationship with Him requires maintenance, especially when you want to go to the next level of just being in His presence and actually staying there without wavering! You have to put in work to receive the new level and blessings both in the natural and spiritual. The Lord is constantly performing miracles and supplying our every needs, not to mention, He is also a redeemer, so why is it so hard to lift a finger for the Lord Almighty? Lift up your hands and praise and worship Him, not only in church but at your house, your job, school, He is worthy to be praised! Don't try to keep Him a secret or shove Him down your pocket because trust and believe, He is much bigger than this world! He didn't have to rescue you from your sins and situations but He did! He didn't have to pull you from the fire and wipe away the burn marks but He did! He could've let drown in your own mind but praise God He didn't! Put in work for the kingdom, get to know God on an intimate level.

Becoming intimate with God!

Falling in love with Jesus is the best thing you could ever do. He can fill a void that no man/woman can ever fill. He can break your old self down and rebuild you so that you will be made whole. Take the time to think back on where you were before you gave your life to Christ. Some of us turned to worldly things to satisfy our FALSE needs. We turned to worldly things to SATISFY our FALSE needs. Think about it, every time we have said we can't live without X Y Z, God took us in and now look at us, still alive, still breathing, still living without it. When it comes to relationships, the world displays many various presentations of what love should be. But the Word of God, displays and explains TRUE LOVE! God loved us so much that He gave up His perfect Son to die for our sins! When Jesus Christ took the beating, hatred, and pain, He not only had to get nailed to the cross that He carried, but He became every single sin there is. He became the drunkard, the cheater, the schemer, the liar, etc. He became all of that just so that we can have someone to speak on our behalf when we just stumble or fall and so we can be free! That is true love and nobody can ever redo or replace that. His unfailing love strengthens us and comforts us. Get intimate with God, lay before Him and just love on Him, tell Him how much you adore and cherish Him. Give the Lord some TLC! (Tender Loving Care)

Be still in His presence!

Sometimes, we just need to clear out our mind, take in the Lord's presence and just rest in His glory. He brings comfort, justice, correction, mercy, grace, healing and so much more. He is the only one who can heal the emotional wounds you have taken in. Sometimes, it's too easy to think about the bad things that have happened to us or the bad situations we might be in. So today, I challenge you! With every negative thought or memory that tries to come back in your mind just say "Thank you Jesus for saving me" See, the enemy would rather you think on the bad to keep you in a dark place and to drown in your own thoughts! But God is so so so good! The Word says to be transformed by the renewal of your mind! (See Romans 12:2) Change the way you think, God has already brought you out and redeemed you, why look back? Unless you are telling your testimonies and thanking God for keeping you during the bad times, then you shouldn't revisit what the Lord has forgiven! Be still in His presence, shift your mind to a grateful place and keep your peace in Him. Be still in His presence!

Your relationship status with God should only go from "SINGLE" to "MARRIED". Your "I DO" was spoken when you gave your life to Christ. Tell others of your newly found love and let them know that His love is for anyone who is willing to receive it because as we all know, God is a gentleman, He isn't forceful, this is why we have free will, the ultimate choice to be in love with Him is yours! Your relationship with Him is very important, treasure it, keep working for the next level. Let His unfailing love wrap you up every time you feel happy, sad, upset, etc. Always be mindful that He loved and knew us in our mother's womb. You just have to make the choice to accept Him or not. His love is so deep and filling, He satisfies all of our TRUE needs.

He is our first love!

Even before we knew Him, He still loved us, when we thought He wasn't around, that's when He was the closest, just waiting for us with open arms. Have your 1 on 1 time with God on the daily basis! Seek His face diligently! Tell others about how good and sweet and merciful He has been to you! He is our first and truest of true loves! Put in work to maintain your relationship with Him. If there is anything or anyone in your life that is keeping or taking you away from the Lord, let them/it go! We often hear that the Lord is first and foremost in our life. It's times to stop just talking about it and start living it! I pray that you have a blessed week and you continue to develop a hunger and deeper love for God!

As Always: Stay Blessed & Encouraged!! :)
